Thermax Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 102 crore during the second quarter of FY12, reflecting a 14 per cent rise over Rs 90 crore in the corresponding period in the previous fiscal.
Total operating income for the three-month period ended September 30, 2011 was Rs 1,303 crore (Rs 1,092 crore), an increase of 19 per cent.
For the six-month period, the audited results show the company's total operating income at Rs 2,348 crore (Rs 1,881 crore), a rise of 25 per cent. Net profit in the comparable period was Rs 182 crore (Rs 156 crore), a growth of 17 per cent.
On a consolidated basis, total operating income of the Group for the half-year was Rs 2,733 crore (Rs. 2,001 crore) while net profit was Rs 194 crore (Rs 158 crore).
At the end of the quarter, Thermax has an order backlog of Rs 5,770 crore as compared to Rs 6,602 crore in September 2010. The group order backlog stands at Rs 6,531crore (Rs 7,276 crore).
