Titan offers 20% discount on watches in AP showrooms

Titan, the leading watch brand, announced its ‘20 per cent off' offer here on Wednesday and it will be valid in all the Titan World showrooms in the State from June 21 to July 22.

Mr Narayan Sabaratnam, Regional Sales Manager, said at a press meet that till last year Titan was making the watch exchange offer, but not all customers were happy with it. Therefore, the 20 per cent discount offer had been announced. He said it would be applicable to all Titan watches except Zoop, the kids' watch. On purchase of any Zoop watch worth above Rs 395, a pair sunglasses will be offered free.

Also at the premium end, he said, Titan was offering a gold and diamond Tanishq pendant free on purchase of watches below Rs 60,000 and a HCL tablet computer on purchase of watches above Rs 60,000. On Xylys, the Swiss watch brand from Titan, there would be discount of 30 per cent.

Mr Sabaratnam said Andhra Pradesh was an important State for Titan and last year Titan watches worth Rs 86 crore had been sold in the State. He said Titan had emerged as the fourth largest watch brand in the world, selling 15.5 million watches last year. Mr Uppalapati Rana, of the Titan World at Dwarakanagar here, said his showroom was the number one in the State, registering a turnover of Rs 5.5 crore last year. He said the showroom had also sold two watches in the very expensive Palace Collection, with each diamond-studded watch costing Rs 3.75 lakh. Only 30 such expensive watches, modelled after the palaces in Rajasthan, were sold in the country, he added.
