TMT bar manufacturer Kamdhenu Ltd on Thursday reported a 4.08 per cent increase in net profit for the quarter ended March 31, 2019 at ₹5.88 crore(₹ 5.64 crore). The total income fell 31 per cent to ₹258.35 crore (₹375.82 crore).
For 2018-19, the net profit grew 43.48 per cent to ₹22.47 crore (₹15.66 crore). Total income inched up 3.8 per cent to ₹1,232.77 crore (₹1,188.03 crore).
“We have been able to improve our profitability significantly during the year on the back of a conscious decision on changing our business strategy by way of reducing B2B trading sales,” said Satish Kumar Agarwal, Chairman and Managing Director. The board recommended a dividend of ₹1 per share, that is 10 per cent on ₹10 face-value share.
