Japanese engineering major Toshiba Japan has partnered with the Chennai-based fixture builder Forms and Gears to develop the largest set of hydraulic machining centre fixtures designed and developed in India.
The fixtures would be over 5 metres long and would operate on high pressure hydraulics, a company release said today.
The fixtures would be shipped to Japan for trials, and will be used for the machining of large earth moving equipment parts, the release added.
