Toshiba India, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Toshiba Corporation of Japan, launched its range of Smart TV – VL20. A press release from the company, quoting its Director (DS Division), Mr Tengguo Wu, said this new line of 3D Smart-TVs features Dolby Digital solution and MHL technology and can satisfy those searching for vibrant and sharp 2D as well as 3D visuals. The model comes in 102 cm and 170 cm screen sizes, priced at Rs 76,000 and Rs 86,000 respectively. The ‘Toshiba Places' interface in the VL20 series would enable viewers to use social networking services and view content online, the release added.
