Turkey's state broadcaster, TRT, is to sign an MoU with Doordarshan for future content collaboration

Burak Akçapar, Ambassador of Turkey to India, said at FICCI Frames, “the Turkish delegation is encouraged with the initial response at the three-day conclave and Turkey is predicting content exports of $20 million to India by 2018".

Turkey is the world’s leading original content producer, attracting billions of people in nearly 100 countries from Latin America to West Asia, and North Africa to Asia in a wide geography.

Turkey’s export figures in the content business is projected at $1 billion by 2023.

Turkey's first television export to India, Feriha, on Zee–Zindagi has been well received by Indian audiences with an average of 36 million viewers each week.

Many Indian networks, including the leading GECs, are in talks with Turkish content providers to roll out more Turkish serials on Indian television.

In an effort to further strengthen its ties with Mumbai and Bollywood, Turkish delegations had a meeting with the Mumbai Academy of the Moving Image (MAMI). Turkey is in talks with the organisers of the MAMI film festival to showcase Turkish cinema at the festival in October this year.
