Menswear apparel and accessories retailer Turtle plans to expand its portfolio by launching branded sunglasses and eye-wear during the next summer.

“The new products will be designed to create value for our existing products,” S. Jhunjhunwala, Director, said on the sidelines of the launch of their third store in Hyderabad today. The company also has plans to add its own denim wear brand in its portfolio in the next 12-18 months.

This comes after the retailer’s plans earlier this year to bring in an international denim wear brand to complete its Indian portfolio did not make any headway.

“We have recently launched denim products.  But we are looking at creating our own denim brand under Turtle next year,” he said.

The Kolkata-based retailer, which has a network of 65 outlets, plans to add 20 more in the next 12-months, mostly through the franchise route. It is eyeing a 25 per cent growth this fiscal from last year’s turnover of Rs 122 crore.
