TUV India (TÜV Nord Group), a leading testing, inspection and certification organisation, has inaugurated its new product testing laboratory in Pune. This is second lab in the city.
The new lab is equipped with technologically advanced and high-end equipment for EMI/EMC tests, CE Compliance, Developmental (design phase) and Pre Compliance, Electrical Safety Tests, Environmental Tests, Electronics & IT Products Tests and testing as per IEC and other national/ international standards.
“With the new laboratory, TUV India will continue our enterprise in India to drive the forefronts of technology in testing, inspection and certification,” said Dirk Stenkamp, Member of the Executive Board, TÜV NORD AG, and Chairman Designate of the Executive Management Board.
As per TUV NORD’s global strategy, TUV India aims to achieve sustainable growth to meet the market demands by widening the product portfolio as well as through geographical expansion.
Pune is now one of the most attractive destinations for investment in the area of automotive, IT, ITeS, electronics and engineering sector - especially for manufacturing and allied services. Most of the global leading companies are either shifting base to Pune or expanding their operations in this city.
“With our domain expertise and support from Germany, TUV India will be providing the best solutions to local and global manufacturers by providing testing and certification services as per local and international norms,” Anil Rairikar, Regional Director, India, South Asia, and Member of TUV India Management Board, said.
“The lab is operational and it caters to the testing requirements of manufacturers of Electrical, Electronics, IT & AV Products and Industrial Machinery. India being a global manufacturing hub, TUV India is supporting the government’s initiative by partnering with the manufacturers in terms of safety, security, quality and compliance based on national and international standards. The launch of this lab is the next step in TUV India’s planned expansion across different industry sectors in the testing business,” Manish Bhuptani, Managing Director, TUV India, added.
