TVS Motor Company today reported a 9.34 per cent increase in total sales at 2,71,171 units in July.
The company had sold a total of 2,48,002 units in July 2016, TVS Motor Company said in a statement.
Total two-wheeler sales were at 2,63,336 units last month as against 2,40,042 units in July 2016, a growth of 9.7 per cent.
During the month, domestic two-wheeler sales grew by 6.2 per cent to 2,19,396 units as against 2,06,605 units in the year-ago month, it added.
Motorcycle sales were at 1,09,427 units as compared to 95,062 units in July 2016, a growth of 15.1 per cent.
Scooter sales rose 35.8 per cent to 92,378 units in July as against 68,033 units in the same month last year, the company said.
Three-wheeler sales declined marginally at 7,835 units in July 2017 as against 7,960 units in the same month last year.
TVS Motor Co said its total exports grew by 26.8 per cent in July at 50,957 units as compared to 40,192 units in the same month last year.
Two-wheeler exports increased by 31.4 per cent to 43,940 units last month as compared to 33,437 units in July 2016, the company added.
