TVS Motor Company sales for December 2011 remained flat at 170,428 units against 171,790 units in December 2010.
The company’s cumulative sales (April to December 2011) grew 10 per cent at 1,670,040 units from the previous comparable period.
Total two-wheeler sales stood at 167,905 units in December 2011 (168,359 in December 2010.) Domestic two-wheeler sales was down to 146,747 units (1,49,357).
Scooters grew 7 per cent to 44,804 units, while motorcycles sales dipped 7 per cent to 56,662 units.
Exports registered a growth of 6 per cent with sales of 22,481 units in December 2011. Two-wheeler exports grew 11 per cent to 21,158 units.
The company sold 2,523 three-wheelers in December 2011 against 3,431 units in the same month of the previous year. Cumulative three-wheeler sales from April to December 2011 was 32,047 units, a growth of 15 per cent over the same period of the previous year.
