Chennai-based TVS Motor Company has reported a 4 per cent increase in sales for April 2012 at 174,455 units.
It had sold 167,744 units in the same month last year.
Domestic sales grew 7 per cent to 151,181 units from 141,619 units, TVS Motor said in a statement.
Two-wheeler sales grew 4 per cent to 171,551 units (164,183 units). Scooter sales stood at 35,833 units, up 2 per cent, against 35,074 units in the same month last year.
Motorcycle sales accounted for 67,966 units against 69,573 units in April 2011. Total exports stood at 22,272 units (25,275 units).
While two-wheeler exports stood at 20,370 units (22,564 units), three-wheeler exports were at 2,904 units (3,561 units).
