The crucial AGM of United Spirits has started with Vijay Mallya chairing the meeting.
One of the shareholders from Chennai, Abhishek, raised the issue of delay in holding the AGM. He said the management's explanation on the delay was not satisfactory. He also wanted to know how the money received from United Breweries for stake sale to Heineken had been utilised.
A few other shareholders sought the reason for not paying dividend.
Mallya told reporters that he is in the process of settling Kingfisher Airlines' dues with the bank. He, however, refused to say whether he would sell his stake in United Spirits to raise funds to pay off the lenders.
