This collaboration is a part of Usha’s larger effort in promoting sports and engaging with the younger audience. It also blends perfectly with the Usha brand ethos ‘Play’ and thus promoting a healthy and cheerful lifestyle.
For over 25 years now, the company has been committed to help improve the quality of life for women and youth through sports and skill development activities.
Speaking on the association, Komal Mehra, Sports and Event consultant, Usha International, says “This collaboration is a step towards connecting with the cricket crazy youth of the nation and also strengthening our footprints in the western parts of the country. It is a big leap for Usha and their association with sports.”
The company supports and promotes a wide array of sports initiatives across the country which includes the Mawana Marathon, Ultimate Frisbee, Golf (junior, ladies, amateur and professional) and now Cricket. Recently, the company partnered with the All India Cricket Association for the Deaf for the inaugural edition of the Usha Deaf IPL.
As a part of the skill development initiative, Usha International has opened over 3,000 ‘Silai Schools’ in non electrified villages across India to empower women and make them self-reliant.
