Utpal Bora has taken charge as the Chairman and Managing Director of Oil India Ltd, the company said in a statement on Monday.
Bora has over 33 years of experience in the hydrocarbon exploration and production sector and was most recently the Executive Director – Asset Manager of ONGC’s Mehsana Asset. He has served in various capacities in ONGC Ltd and the company’s international investment arm ONGC Videsh Ltd.
Bora took charge of Asset Manager of ONGC’s Mehsana Asset in October 2014 and was leading a team of about 2,300 engineers and technicians to sustain production from 1,800 operating wells, 7 drilling rigs and about 80 exploratory and development wells.
