V-Guard Industries, a consumer electrical and electronics company, which makes water heaters and voltage stabilisers, has launched an inverter which can be operated through a mobile smartphone.
The 'smart' inverter comes with features such as knowing when the charge of the battery is going low, fast charging, battery usage and back-up, amongst other features. These features can be activated once a person downloads the app from Play Store. The 'smart' inverter is priced in the range of Rs 10,900-Rs 18,990 and will be available in all leading electronic, electrical, home appliances, and battery stores in the South.
Further, through the app a user can register a complaint, which will be notified to the customer service centre, who will then tend to the problem and figure out whether there is a need for a service engineer. "The device throws up data consistently and through this, a support executive can take a decision whether a service engineer is needed or not," said Chief Operating Officer, V. Ramachandran. Additionally, the inverter is equipped with a special Holiday mode to allow you to save power while you are on a vacation.
