The Chennai-based VA Tech Wabag has reported a 13 per cent fall in net profit for the third quarter of the current year compared with the corresponding quarter last year.
For the quarter ended December 31, the integrated water management company has reported a net profit of Rs 12.95 crore (Rs 14.88 crore) on an income of Rs 188.23 crore (Rs 169.36 crore).
The firm consolidated order book stands at Rs 3,550 crore of which 69 per cent relates to India and the balance to its overseas subsidiaries.
During the quarter VA Tech Wabag received orders of Rs 533 crore including Rs 362 crore from India and Rs 171 crore overseas.
On the NSE, the company's shares of Rs 2 closed at Rs 396.45 against the previous close of Rs 390.40.
