Water and waste water management company, VA Tech Wabag Ltd (WABAG), has got an Rs 217 crore order from Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB).
While Rs 194 crore is for the construction of 60 MLD waste water treatment plant at K&C Valley with power generation, the balance Rs 23 crore is for operation and maintenance for seven years. The project is funded by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
Rajiv Mittal, Managing Director, VA Tech Wabag, said the company has successfully implemented four projects in Bangalore at Kadabesanahalli, Nagasandra and Mailasandra besides extension and refurbishment of the existing plant at K&C Valley.
Rajneesh Chopra, SBU Head - Operations Business Group, WABAG, said with this order the waste water treatment by the company would cross 500 MLD mark.
