Leading ice-cream maker Vadilal Industries Ltd., on Wednesday, reported a 13.76% increase in net profit and 5.7% in revenue in 2016-17, ended March 31, 2017, as compared to last year.

While the company’s total income stood at ₹482.34 crore (₹456.43 crore), profit after tax was ₹16.33 crore (₹14.35 crore), a company release said here.

The company has recommended a 12.5% dividend of ₹1.25 per share of face value of ₹10 each for the year ended March 2017.

Vadilal Industries capacity expanded from 2.10 lakh pieces an hour to 2.70 lakh pieces an hour over the past one year. Its long-term borrowing stood at ₹35.54 crore (₹45.55 crore). Finance costs in FY2017 were lower by 27.8% y-o-y at Rs. 15.5 crore as compared to Rs. 21.4 crore in FY2016.
