Driven by a big order from the Indian space department, Hyderabad-based IT Infrastructure and ITeS company, VAMA Industries, has posted an impressive first-quarter performance in fiscal 2017-18.
It reported a net profit of Rs 186.72 lakh (Rs 1.44 lakh) and a turnover of Rs 4,162.58 lakh (Rs 598.82 lakh) and the EBIDTA stood at Rs 308.73 lakh (Rs 44.72 lakh) for the quarter ended June 30, 2017. The company is executing a larger work order from the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
Commenting on the results, Rama Raju V A, Chairman & Managing Director, Vama Industries Ltd. said, "Vama Industries’ robust business structure coupled with timely execution has put it at a good position in the niche space it operates in."
Vama has a wholly-owned subsidiary company in Singapore by the name Vama Technologies Pte. Ltd.
The company has an engineering services division with a focus on the automotive, aerospace and oil and natural gas verticals, among other clients. VAMA has had an offshore delivery centre for North American customers for the past 12 years. Its facility management services offer maintenance of its IT equipment for clients in the Centre, public sector establishments, and defence labs, he said.
