Automaker VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) on Saturday reported a 7.33 per cent increase in total sales at 3,909 units in August.
The company, which is a joint venture between the Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, had sold 3,642 units in the same month last year.
Domestic sales stood at 3,712 units in August against 3,407 units in the year-ago period, up 8.95 per cent, VECV said in a statement.
VECV said total sales of buses increased 53.55 per cent to 843 units during the month against 549 units in the year-ago period.
