Auto maker VE Commercial Vehicles today reported 11 per cent decline in total sales of Eicher branded products at 2,803 units in September 2013.
The company, which is a joint venture between the Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, had sold 3,150 units in the same month last year.
Domestic sales stood at 2,361 units in September 2013 as against 3,026 units in the year-ago period, down 22 per cent, VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) said in a statement.
On the exports front, Eicher trucks and buses have recorded sales of 442 units in September 2013 as compared to 124 units in September 2012, representing a three-fold increase over the same period of last year.
VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd is a 50:50 joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors Ltd.
