Auto—maker VE Commercial Vehicles today said it recorded a 25 per cent jump in its total monthly sales to 3,515 units in May, 2011.
The joint venture between the Volvo Group and Eicher Motors had sold 2,801 units in the same month previous year, VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) said in a statement.
Domestic sales in May increased to 3,206 units from 2,488 units in the same month a year ago, a jump of 29 per cent, the company added.
Exports for the month however declined marginally to 309 units from 313 units in May 2010.
