Venus Remedies on Saturday said its net profit increased by 28.42 per cent to Rs 15.09 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2012 mainly on account of robust sales.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 11.75 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2011, Venus Remedies said in a filing to BSE.
Total income from operations of the company also rose to Rs 110.81 crore as against Rs 96.11 crore.
During the quarter, the company secured its first patent from Canada for novel antibiotic ‘Vancoplus’, Venus Remedies said.
The company has also launched its anti—arthritic pain product in India during the quarter.
