Piaggio plans to expand its Vespa brand showrooms in the country and in Andhra Pradesh. It plans to scale up the network to about 10 showrooms in the State from five now.
The State has five showrooms, including three in Hyderabad one each in Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam. With Andhra Pradesh emerging as one of the fastest growing States for the two-wheeler market, Vespa is also looking at opportunities in the tier-II cities of the State where there is demand, according to Nagaraj, Regional Manager of Piaggio Vehicles.
Shrey Automotives, one of the dealers of Vespa in Hyderabad, is celebrating the milestone of delivering 500 Vespa scooters in Hyderabad.
Sushil Dugar of Shrey Automobiles said Vespa brand is getting popular among the youth with its features and sporty attributes. The Italian retro scooter is powered by 125cc engine.
