Viceroy Hotels Ltd has posted a modest profit of Rs 76 lakh for the third quarter ended December 31, 2014 as against a loss of Rs 1.12 crore for the corresponding quarter last financial year on a standalone basis.
The company total income was up at Rs 20.71 crore for the third quarter as against Rs 18.24 crore for the corresponding period last year.
On a consolidated basis, the Hyderabad-based hospitality chain brought down its losses to Rs 0.73 crore for the third quarter as against a loss of Rs 2.36 crore for the corresponding period last year. The income was up at Rs 28.90 crore for third quarter this year as against Rs 26.70 crore for the same period last year.
For the nine months, the company registered a loss of Rs 6.19 crore and a revenue of Rs 81.69 crore as against a loss of Rs 7.40 crore and income of Rs 80.30 crore respectively.
The consolidated financials include that of subsidiaries Café D Lake, which operates restaurants—Minerva Coffee Shop, Blue Fox Bar & Restaurants and Crustrum Products.
Viceroy shares closed at Rs 16.50, up 1.23 per cent.
