Videocon Telecom, the telecom arm of Videocon Group, has posted Rs 1,049-crore revenue for the financial year ended March 31, 2014.
The revenue came in from its four operational GSM mobility business circles, national long distance, international long distance and wired line business in Punjab, it said in statement.
“Since our comeback in the telecom domain early last year, we have taken a whole lot of initiatives to sustain and grow in this over competitive market and today Videocon Telecom is synonymous with best-in-industry products and services which has attracted a huge consumer base to the brand,” said Arvind Bali, Director and Chief Executive Officer of Videocon Telecom.
“The first year of our comeback has given us a good head start and we now intend to grow our topline to Rs 2,500 crore in the coming financial year,” Bali added.
The company’s 21 licences were among the 122 permits cancelled in the 2G case by the Supreme Court on February 2, 2012. Later in 2012, the operator had won spectrum in six circles for Rs 2,221.44 crore.
