VLCC Healthcare Ltd today said it was looking for arrangement with Governments of Gujarat and Maharashtra to facilitate admission of poor students in job-oriented courses conducted at its training institute.
Vandana Luthra, Founder-Director of VLCC Healthcare, said her firm is looking for a tie-up with Governments of Gujarat and Maharashtra so they sponsor poor and privileged students, who want to enrol for courses run by her institute.
“VLCC Institute covers the entire gamut of training for the beauty and health industry. The company has already tied up with Governments in Uttar Pradesh and Punjab and is hoping for finalising similar arrangement with Governments of Gujarat and Maharashtra soon,” she said here.
Luthra, whose company has an annual turnover of Rs 1,000 crore, was here to launch a new range of VLCC’s premium skincare treatment products.
She hinted that VLCC, which sells a range of personal care and dermatology products, could enter the capital market in 2014.
The students completing the courses are employed in the outlets run by the company, Luthra said. “We have also approached the Union HRD Ministry for encouraging opening of such an institute.
“VLCC Institute has designed courses that are comprehensive, yet focused on specifics. These courses cater to the ever-changing needs of the industry, ensuring that students pass out with the requisite knowledge of the market and are equipped for a prosperous career,” Luthra said.
She said VLCC’s business currently span across over 300 locations in 121 cities in 16 countries, including India.
“VLCC will begin its operations in Cairo very soon as it has finalised a deal with an Egypt-based company.
