German car maker Volkswagen today launched a new variant of its compact hatchback ‘Polo GT TDI’ in India, priced at Rs 8.08 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The new variant, which comes with a 1.6 litre diesel engine, will be on sale from today, Volkswagen said in a statement.
“We are committed to bringing in the latest and the most efficient vehicle technologies to the Indian market,” said Arvind Saxena, Volkswagen Passenger Cars Managing Director.
New Polo GT TDI has been created to cater to the requirements of discerning customers, who want the best possible mix of strong power delivery, outstanding driving dynamics and class-leading fuel efficiency, he added.
“With this latest addition to the Polo range, which now includes the Polo GT TSI, Cross Polo and Polo GT TDI, Volkswagen now offers Indian customers with unique motoring solutions for their specific requirements in the hatchback segment,” the company said.
