VA Tech Wabag has been awarded an EPC order worth about ₹1,000 crore from Saudi Arabia-based Marafiq, the power and water utility for Jubail and Yanbu.
Wabag will work on the expansion of a sewage water treatment plant in Jubail. Marafiq plans to expand the plant’s capacity to up to 200 million litres per day (MLD) in two phases, of which Wabag’s order pertains to Phase 1 with a capacity of 120 MLD, a company statement said.
