Auto component maker Wabco-TVS (India) has reported a 22.01 per cent jump in net profit for the first quarter ended June 30, 2011 to Rs 34.15 crore.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 27.99 crore during the corresponding quarter last year, Wabco-TVS (India) said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Total income during the first quarter also increased by 21.05 per cent to Rs 244.99 crore from Rs 202.38 crore in the year-ago period, it added.
Reacting to the results, the company shares were trading 0.78 per cent up at Rs 1,207 on the BSE in the afternoon today.
