After Big Bazaar, it is the Tata-owned Westside stores that is likely to start selling the small car, again. Considering Nano bookings did begin at Westside initially, when the car was displayed on the shop floors, it is now reconsidering initiating sales since competitor Big Bazaar has also got the mandate to sell the car.
Mr Gaurav Mahajan, COO, Westside, said, “We are exploring the option of selling the Nano again through Westside. In fact, we did have booking for the car through the Westside stores in the past.''
Recently Westside has also entered gourmet retailing under Gourmet West and is test marketing the format at its Kala Ghoda store in Mumbai.
