Excerpts from the press conference addressed by Co-founders Krishnakumar Natarajan, Subroto Bagchi and Rostow Ravanan:
Now what are the options going forward?
Our lawyers are advising us on. Rest assured, we represent all constituencies and will take the best decision going forward.
Have you spoken to institutions and what is their take on this?
We have and they are supporting us.
Considering that L&T itself averted a hostile bid in the past, will it encourage you to put up a battle?
All of us are aligned in the interest of protecting Mindtree. Can’t comment on this as back then times were different; organisations and laws were different, too.
Some sources say if the deal is sweetened, founders will exit...
It is absolutely false.
L&T has maintained that it is open to negotiation and will let Mindtree run as a separate company...
It has to be mutual, consensual and not put with a gun over the head. We see this as a reckless pursuit of scale or ego of a company. This needs to be answered. Scale is irrelevant for customers and it is more about capabilities, which we have built over the last two decades.
What if L&T made you a counter offer?
Let AM Naik come and meet us.
