Home appliances major Whirlpool of India is targeting a growth of 15 per cent and a sales turnover of Rs 850 crore during the Diwali festival season this year.
“We are aiming for a growth of 15 per cent and sales turnover of Rs 850 crore during this period and are confident of getting there,” Whirlpool of India Vice-President, Corporate Affairs & Strategy, Shantanu Das Gupta, said.
The company today launched a range of products across categories — refrigerators, washing machines, air-conditioners, microwave oven — and unveiled a Diwali promotional offer across India.
According to a company release, it will spend Rs 20 crore for the promotional multi-media campaigns during the season.
Under the offer, the company would provide assured gifts as gift hamper. Consumers will also be entitled to a scratch card through which a hair dryer worth Rs 725 or an gift hamper worth Rs 2,880 could be won.
