India's third largest IT outsourcer, Wipro, has sought a large parcel of land at Kodathi SEZ as part of its expansion project.
Wipro Chairman, Azim Premji, meet Karnataka Chief Minister Siddamaraiah on Tuesday afternoon to seek more land on the outskirts of Bangalore.
He is learnt to have informed the Chief Minister that Wipro plans to hire 25,000 employees and needs additional land for this purpose.
Wipro scrip ended at Rs 538, down 1.28 per cent on the BSE.
