Wonderla Holidays Limited announced an investment of Rs 250 crore in the next five years in Andhra Pradesh to set up an amusement park in Andhra Pradesh.
The company inked an MoU with the Andhra Pradesh Government expressing its plans to set up a park and thereby help create 500 jobs after the first phase and 200 jobs in the second phase.
According to a statement, Wonderla plans to build an amusement park on a 50-acre site between Guntur and Visakhapatnam. The project will be funded through internal accruals.
“Andhra Pradesh is emerging as one of the key destinations for industrial investments and hence hosts a huge potential for our industry too. This partnership will help us strengthen our footprints in South India,” Arun K Chittilappilly, Managing Director, Wonderla Holidays Ltd, said in a statement.
