Wonderla Holidays has reported a net profit of ₹12.7 crore in the December-ended quarter of this financial year, a three per cent increase over the same period last year when the company reported ₹12.3 crore.

The company clocked in revenues of ₹49.4 crore, a 19 per cent rise over the corresponding period in the last financial year when revenues came in at ₹41.5 crore.

Revenue from the two amusement parks in Bengaluru and Kochi were ₹44.8 crore for the quarter while revenue from the resorts business was ₹2.7 crore.

Arun K Chittilappilly, Managing Director, Wonderla Holidays, said that the third quarter didn’t show any significant footfall growth, due to restrictions on educational institutions for picnics and outings in both Bangalore and Kochi.

“We continue to be optimistic about growth coming in from both the amusement parks at both the cities, and are happy to announce the commencement of construction at the third amusement park project in Hyderabad,” he added.
