If you are an electric vehicle owner or have installed solar powered equipment in your home, you can soon claim a discount at any Woodland store.
Adventure wear brand Woodland has launched a project to become a ‘zero carbon footprint’ retail company.
To start with, the footwear-to-bag-to-outdoor gear company has initiated a campaign to measure the carbon footprint of each of its 300 outlets.
“The idea is to establish a baseline and reduce it to the minimum at each of our stores,’’ said Mr Harkirat Singh, Managing Director, Woodland India. The company plans to reduce its environmental impact to zero by 2015, he added.
The plan to offer discounts to customers owning eco-friendly products is in the planning stage and will be launched soon.
