Yamaha Motor India today reported a 26.78 per cent increase in domestic two-wheeler sales at 59,325 units in September. It had sold 46,790 units in the same month last year.
Commenting on the sales performance, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt Ltd Vice-President (Sales & Marketing) Roy Kurian said: “The incessant growth reinforces our belief in our business and strategic outlook.”
He further said: “Our scooter offerings, especially Alpha, have been a catalyst in giving us good numbers over the past few months and now with the addition to our popular motorcycle line-up with FZ, FZ-S and Fazer Version 2.0, we have strengthened our presence in the 150 cc deluxe segment.”
Ahead of the festive season, the company is confident that recent launches and innovative customer connect programmes would garner major sales and post “some record numbers in the coming months”, he added.
