Yamaha Motor India sales (YMIS) has posted a 14.4 per cent rise in June vehicle sales, with the two-wheeler maker selling 40,666 units during the month under review. The company had sold 35,561 units during the same month a year ago.
“The month has ended on a positive note for us as we launched new variants under the FZ series - FZ Version 2.0 and FZ-S Version 2.0 yesterday. We have had other launches as well this year. However, Alpha, launched at the Auto Expo, continues to be a fundamental growth driver for us,” said Roy Kurian, Vice-President (Sales & Marketing) at Yamaha Motor India Sales.
“This is indeed reviving times for the industry as we have an industry-friendly Government at the Centre. With these developments, positive sentiments have also started to grace the industry,” Kurian added.
In April 2013, India Yamaha Motor had set up YMIS to independently cater to its marketing needs.
