Yamaha Motor India Sales has posted a 42 per cent rise in domestic sales, with the two-wheeler manufacturer selling 51,158 units in April 2014. The company sold 35,927 units during the comparable period of last year.
“This month indeed has been a good month for us as we were able to witness a brisk growth due to our superb product line-up and customer centric activities,” said Roy Kurian, vice president (Sales & Marketing) at Yamaha Motor India.
The launching of ‘Alpha’, which was launched at the auto expo this year, has been instrumental in boosting sales. The company also launched new colour variants of FZ, FZ-S and Fazer in April, which were “received well”, the company said in a statement.
In April 2013, India Yamaha Motor had set up Yamaha Motor India Sales to cater to the company’s sales and marketing needs.
