Ratan Tata, Chairman, Tata Trusts said that the employees of Tata group are the inheritors and custodians of the Trusts and of its belief in making a sustainable change" in society.
In a letter to the employees, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Jamshetji Nusserwanji Tata, which is celebrated as founder’s day by the $103 billion salt-to-software group, Ratan said, “It is because of you that we can derive and obtain the opportunity and the privilege to serve our community and through that our nation,”
“Hope you are proud of our group’s capacity of thinking beyond business. It is this strength and intention that is reflected through the Trusts in their vision and their work. You are the custodians and inheritors of the Trusts and of our belief in making a sustainable change in our society,” he said.
Speaking to media in Jamshedpur at a ceremony in Tata Steel, Ratan said, “ The company is in great hands and I look forward to hearing about the progress that Jamshedpur and Tata Steel makes under Chandra’s leadership.”
N. Chandrasekaran, the newly appointed Chairman of Tata Sons said, “ For me it is a very inspirational moment and I take a lot of inspiration from the people of Jamshedpur, from Tata Steel, from the Founder.”
