Cadila Healthcare Ltd on Monday said its net profit decreased by 13 per cent although its income increased by 4 per cent in the first quarter of 2012-13 ended June 30, as compared to the corresponding period last fiscal year.
While the company’s income was Rs 822.11 crore (Rs 790.52 crore), the net profit dropped to Rs 132.70 crore (Rs 152.93 crore), according to a release.
The group’s consolidated net profit also decreased by 14 per cent at Rs 229.82 crore (Rs 194.79 crore), while income went up 28 per cent at Rs 1,252 crore to Rs 1,603.93 crore.
On Monday, Zydus Cadila’s share price at the BSE closed 1.18 per cent up at Rs 907.50.
