Innovation is a specific instrument of entrepreneurship which gives competitive advantage to companies, according to B. Aparna Reddy, Regional Head - HR, Sify Technologies Ltd.
Speaking on ‘Innovative Management Practices - Challenges and Opportunities in the Industry' organised by The Hindu Business Line at Malla Reddy College of Engineering and Technology, Dhulapally, for management students here on Friday, she said the fast-changing business environment would make innovation a must for all firms.
Hence, every company should master innovation without which it would be difficult to survive, she added.
PVS Ravindra Varma, Management Consultant and CEO, Formula HR Consulting, said management education was vital for nation-building and prosperity of the country.
“There is much glamour attached to the management field but at the end of the day, it's your talent and not glamour that sets you apart from the ordinary,” he said.
The students should invest their valuable time while in college and look forward for return on investment by the time they go out of the college after graduation, he added.
Ch Malla Reddy, Chairman, Malla Reddy Group of Educational Institutions, said the students should deal with the challenges of the industry by being innovative.
KRK Murthy, Chief Coordinator for Industry Institute Placement Cell of the college, said many industries were visiting the college for campus placements and the college was organising various guest lectures, seminars and workshops to aid better career opportunities for the students.
VSK Reddy, Principal of the college, thanked The Hindu Business Line and the speakers for their valuable suggestions to the students and faculty.
P. Ranga Reddy, Regional General Manager, The Hindu Group of Publications, advised the students to grab the existing opportunities backed by a sound knowledge base.
