A team of experts from Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) on Saturday commenced the work of rebuilding one of the walls of the Varaha temple, which recently collapsed, at the Hampi heritage site. ASI authorities today warned tourists and locals not to go near the temple for safety reasons.

The authorities have expressed concern over the safety of Ananthashayana, Vittala and Virupaksha temples at Hampi, the seat of power of Vijayanagara dynasty, as they have suffered damages in the recent rains, officials said today.
