Amendments to Income tax act proposed in pre-budget meet

Amendments to the Income tax act have been proposed during the pre-budget consultation meeting conducted by the finance minister Arun Jaitley. V.N. Dhoot, said income tax was discussed and it was proposed that individuals earning less than Rs 5 lakh per annum not be taxed.
