Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has bagged a Rs 4,071-crore contract for a 1,200 MW thermal power project in Andhra Pradesh. The order has been placed on the state-owned equipment major by Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL), the company said in a statement. BHEL will set up the 2x600 MW unit for SCCL's upcoming super thermal power project at Adilabad. The scope of work under the contract entails design, engineering, manufacture, supply, testing and commissioning of steam turbines, generators and boilers, along with controls and instrumentation (C&I) and auxiliaries, including the associated civil work. —
