Since Kerala being a major gateway, Bahrain is looking for investments in various sectors in the State in a big way.
According to Kamal bin Ahmed Mohamed, Bahrain Minister for Transportation, his country has identified various sectors in Kerala for mutual cooperation and the identified sectors include real estate, healthcare, and infrastructure.
“We had a series of discussions and B2B meetings with the Government and other private firms in this regard. Some of the projects are expected to be finalised only in next round of discussions”, the Minister told reporters here.
However, he refused to divulge the volume of investments in the state.
The Minister was part of a business delegation to Kerala from Bahrain led by Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, the first Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Bahrain Economic Development Board.
The visit was aimed to strengthen bilateral, political and trade relations between the two countries.
