As cash and valuables rained for Dhoni’s dashers, people of this city has decided to give a unique gift to members of the World Cup-winning Indian cricket team —— hand-woven carpets in the shape of their faces.
“To honour members of the triumphant team, the Carpet Technology Institute has decided to gift special hand-woven carpets to them,” Institute’s Director Mr K K Goswami said.
The carpets would be in the shape of faces of the players, he said.
The students of the Institute had begun preparing carpets and it would take three months to complete the task, Mr Goswami said.
“We will try to hand over the carpets to the players at a function at the Institute itself. But if this is not possible, these will be presented through BCCI,” he said.
