Durgapur Steel Plant (DSP) of SAIL Ltd has achieved its target for saleable steel production during July.
The unit saw a 6 per cent growth in saleable steel output over the corresponding period last fiscal, DSP said. Special and value-added steel constitute 75 per cent of total saleable steel production during the month.
Maximise production
“We have achieved it in tandem with our strategy to maximise production of special and value-added steel in the saleable steel basket in DSP,” P K Singh, CEO, DSP, said.
Good performances were also recorded in the production of blend mix at the raw materials handling plant, concast billets at the continuous casting plant and medium structural at the section mill.
