There will be a reduction in the number of flights that Emirates operates to Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore for an 80-day period from May next year.

Between May 1 and July 20, 2014, the Dubai-headquartered airline plans to curtail operations to several global destinations due to Dubai airport’s runway enhancement programme.

The services that are likely to be affected include the flight that currently leaves Bangalore at 8 p.m., the Mumbai service that departs at 10.30 p.m. and the flight leaving Delhi at 4.15 p.m. The airline’s Web site is not accepting bookings for these flights.

The airline will also reduce operations to various global destinations such as Bangkok, Beirut, Cairo, Colombo, Muscat, Hong Kong, Karachi, Milan and Nairobi during the period .

Emirates currently operates 185 flights a week to 10 cities here, including Kozhikode, Kochi, Thiruvanathapuram, Hyderabad and Chennai.
